Please use this page to order challah for pickup/delivery/shipping on Thursdays.  We strongly recommend that you order in advance to increase the chances that you'll get one, and we thank you for your understanding if we are sold out.

We bake challah fresh on Thursdays and Fridays.  We sometimes have a few challahs available for purchase on Friday without a subscription.  If we do, they will be made available for purchase on this page.  If you order challah for pickup on Saturday or Sunday, it will have been baked on Thursday and frozen the same day it was baked.

Description

Made from scratch, our kosher challah is the perfect addition to your Shabbat dinner or any special occasion.  In the event you don't gobble it all down on the first day, turn it into Challah French Toast later!

We've done an embarrassing amount of taste-testing to make sure our challah is as good as it can possibly be.  We hope you love it as much as we do.

Choose from regular or jumbo sizes, in either plain, raisin, or vegan plain.  Regular size is a little less than a foot long.  Jumbo size is about 15 inches long and twice the overall size of a Regular challah.

Allergen Info

Our plain and raisin challah contains egg and honey, but does not contain dairy. Our vegan challah does not contain dairy, egg or honey. While none of our challah contains dairy and we use good cleaning practices between products, our challah is made on shared equipment with other products that may contain dairy. Please see more information about our ingredients and kosher certification.

Our raspberry bars are the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and crumbly! We start with a shortbread crust, layer it with raspberry jam and fresh raspberry filling, and top it off with scrumptious streusel.

Indulge in our delicious hamantaschen filled with apricot, raspberry, or chocolate.  Nosh on some yourself or send them to friends and family to fulfill the Purim tradition of Mishloach Manot.

We strongly recommend you place your order right away (and at least 24 hours in advance).  Our hamantaschen in the store goes very quickly and it is very unlikely we will have hamantaschen available for same day purchase.

These hamantaschen are Kosher Dairy.  Each hamantasch is approximately 3" long.

Having trouble deciding if you want a cake doughnut or a muffin?  Now you don't have to!  Try our new Duffin - it's a cake doughnut AND a muffin in each delicious bite.

Homemade cake hand-blended with frosting and dipped in a candy coating, our cakepops are moist, sweet, and positively delicious. They're our most versatile product - great for receptions, parties, showers, office functions, and everyday sweet cravings.

**There is a 2 dozen minimum for cakepops to be put on a display.**

Bow Colors

If you choose the option to get your cakepops individually wrapped, each cakepop will be wrapped in a poly bag and closed with a bow twistie.  The bow twisties come in a variety of colors.  The colors we usually have in stock are listed below.  Please note that color availability varies as our suppliers have been experiencing delays.

We offer them in Birthday in Vanilla, Birthday in Chocolate, and Chocolate.  If you have a preference of flavor, we recommend that you order at least a few days in advance, as we don't always have every flavor available every day.

Our take on the classic black-and-white cookie: a soft, cake-like shortbread cookie iced with vanilla on one half and chocolate on the other. The soft cookie complemented with the smooth vanilla and chocolate icings create a sweet melt-in-your-mouth experience that you'll want to repeat once you've devoured both halves.

You won't find rugelach like ours anywhere else in the DC area! We use an Israeli family recipe that makes our rugelach softer than most. It has the perfect level of sweetness and does not contain nuts!

Our bagels are made from scratch, hand-rolled, and boiled right in our store— just like a bagel should be! We offer 6 flavors: plain, poppy, sesame, everything, onion, and salt.

FAQ

Do your bagels contain dairy, egg, or honey?
No.  Our bagels are vegan.

Are your bagels gluten-free?
No.  Our bagels use hi-gluten flour.  We have tried to make a gluten-free bagel and have failed miserably each time.  The gluten is what gives bagels their chewy bagel-like consistency.

Why are all of your bagels a different shape?
We hand-roll our bagels.  This is what gives them their authentic, artisan look and taste.  If you're comparing our bagels to other places whose bagels all look exactly the same, their bagels were probably made by a machine (not hand-rolled).  In our opinion, a bagel that isn't hand-rolled isn't a real bagel.

What's on your Everything bagel?

Do you make Cinnamon Raisin, Blueberry, Whole Wheat, or Pumpernickel bagels?
No.

Do I have to eat all the bagels the same day I get them?
No.  You can freeze them the same day you get them and enjoy them later.

What's the best way to reheat your bagels?
- Freeze the bagels you don’t eat today in a freezer bag (do not slice).
- Pre-heat oven (or set toaster oven) to 340°(F).
- Bake unsliced, frozen bagel for 12-14 minutes.
- Let bagel cool for a bit before slicing.
- Enjoy!
