This unique Challah Board was handcrafted in Annapolis, MD, from quality wood, a mix of Maple, Cherry, and Mahogany. The Hebrew words of Hamotzi (The blessing for the bread) are engraved on the board. In order to preserve the quality and beauty of the wood, it is finished with mineral oil and Candelilla Wax.

This Challah board is an excellent gift for weddings, Jewish holidays, anniversaries, housewarmings, or any occasion. 

Due to the nature of the wood, each board is unique and may have slight variations in color and grain from what is shown in the picture.

The size of the board is approximately 15.5” x 10” x 0.75”.

To clean the Challah board, wash it by hand with liquid soap, wipe it with a dry cloth and let it air-dry on its side. Periodically, recondition the board with mineral oil or cutting board oil. Do not submerge the board in water for a long time or place it in a dishwasher. Doing so will damage the board.

We've done an embarrassing amount of taste-testing to make sure our challah is as good as it can possibly be.  We hope you love it as much as we do.

Choose from two sizes.  Regular size is a little less than a foot long.  Jumbo size challah is about 15 inches long and twice the overall size of a Regular challah.

How does it work?
- We'll add you to our challah reservation list every Friday for the duration of your subscription.
- Going out of town? Let us know by the end of day on Wednesday that you'd like to skip your challah that week and we'll extend your subscription.
- We offer pickup at our bakery (including complementary curbside pickup), local delivery, and nationwide shipping.

Our plain and raisin challah contains egg and honey, but not does not contain dairy. Our vegan challah does not contain dairy, egg or honey. While none of our challah contains dairy and we use good cleaning practices between products, our challah is made on shared equipment with other products that may contain dairy. Please use this page to order challah for pickup/delivery/shipping on Thursdays.  We strongly recommend that you order in advance to increase the chances that you'll get one, and we thank you for your understanding if we are sold out.

We bake challah fresh on Thursdays and Fridays.  We sometimes have a few challahs available for purchase on Friday without a subscription.  If we do, they will be made available for purchase on this page.  If you order challah for pickup on Saturday or Sunday, it will have been baked on Thursday and frozen the same day it was baked.

Our cinnamon or chocolate babka is a rich, sweet, braided bread, swirled with premium Vietnamese cinnamon or imported Israeli chocolate spread.

Babka makes the perfect gift that everyone will love - you can't get better than babka!

At the moment, there is a 2-day lead time for babka.  In other words, if you add babka to your cart, the soonest you will be able to have your order picked up/shipped/delivered is in 2 days.

You won't find rugelach like ours anywhere else in the DC area! We use an Israeli family recipe that makes our rugelach softer than most. It has the perfect level of sweetness and does not contain nuts!

Celebrate Chanukah with our one-of-a-kind, Joyful Dancers Dreidel. This wooden dreidel was handcrafted from quality wood in Annapolis, Maryland. It is both a decorative and functional dreidel. Spin it and play the dreidel game, or display it on a shelf as a decoration.  It comes in two styles:mahogany-maple-mahogany or maple-mahogany-maple. It includes a display stand.
