Today was the monthly birthday celebration at the office of one of Baked by Yael’s law firm clients. Having worked for 8 years at a law firm, I can appreciate the importance of a sweets break every now and then. I love that this firm does something special like this for their employees every month.
Last month I decided to shake things up a bit and include our new Salty/Sweet cake pop. Since they were so well-received, I decided to make them again for the party today. Like our regular Birthday pops, the brown pops pictured above have yellow cake mixed with vanilla frosting on the inside and they’re dipped in dark chocolate. To give these pops an extra kick, I sprinkled chocolate sea salt on top that I got from The Spice & Tea Exchange. As someone who loves the taste of chocolate with salt, I especially love these cake pops. YUM. The green pops pictured above are traditional red velvet cake pops. Also quite delicious!
Hmmm… now I’m kind of craving a cake pop. Good thing I always keep extras on hand to satisfying those unexpected cravings (although I guess all cravings are unexpected).
